Digital Asset Management allows you to manage all your files in a clear way. The following functions are available:
- Adding files to DAM
- Editing images, videos and folders
- Creating image variants
- Add relevant information to assets
- Folder structure
- Pinning function
Adding Files to DAM
To upload files to the Digital Asset Management, you can drag and drop them into the gray tile in the upper left corner. Alternatively, you can upload files by clicking on the tile and the respective option (Upload asset; Add via URL).
The upload status is displayed in the navigation bar on the left side of the search function.
Editing Images, Videos, and Folders
By clicking on the three-dot menu in the lower right corner of assets, you have a wide range of editing options:
- Upload new variant
- Edit variant (only for images & graphics)
- Create idea
- Create content
- Pin
- Edit permissions
- Duplicate
- Move to folder
- Assign to topic
- Share
- Delete
In the three-dot menu of folders, you will find the same options. Additionally, you can edit and assign folders to a user.
For videos, you can also manage the video subtitles (in the preview mode) and create a preview image from the video material.
Creating Variants of Assets
If you crop a photo in the Photo Editor for another network, you have the possibility to save it as a new variant. Unlike saving it as a new asset, the asset's variant is not shown in the overview. Instead, it is located "behind" the original asset and only becomes visible when you click on it.

Information in Assets
Click on an asset to open its preview. Here, you can store useful information such as terms of use, metadata, strategic information, and much more.
Terms of use are interesting if you use stock photos with a limited duration. The existing metadata of the uploaded assets is automatically imported but can still be added manually if required. You can add strategic information to your assets, such as tags, topic category, and target group. The tab Related items shows the tasks, ideas, and content in which the asset is used. Content that contains this asset and has been published is shown in the tab Published with. You can also comment on an asset and tag your colleagues in it.
Folder Structure
The folder structure ensures a perfect overview. Thanks to the tree structure on the left side of the page, you can see the hierarchy of the folders at a glance.
Read this article to learn more about the creation of folders in the Digital Asset Management.
For posts published directly to Facebook, Instagram, etc., the associated assets are collected in a separate folder in Digital Asset Management: the Externally Imported Assets folder. This applies to all channels for which synchronization is also possible in the calendar.
Pinning Function
Pin your most important or most used assets and folders on top so that they are displayed first.
To do this, click on the Pin option in the three-dot menu of folders or assets. Clicking the option again unpins the folder or asset.
