When new content is available, a red notification badge will display over the notification center and in the app menu, but there are slight differences in how and why you get notifications in these separate places.

Notification Center

All updates and notifications that you would receive via push or email notification, with the exception of chat notifications, appear in the Notification Center. There you can manually manage read and unread notifications at any time. You will receive updates in the notification center in the following cases:

• Posts published with a push or email notification (including surveys and journey steps)
• Comments to posts you have published
• Direct replies to your comments

Menu Notifications

Unlike in the Notification Center, menu notifications appear directly over the news page, folder, or chat where new, unread content has been posted. These notifications will notify you when new content has been published, even when no push or email notification has been sent. Menu notifications will appear over menu items in the following cases:

• Posts published with an email or push alert
• Posts published without an alert
• Chat messages
