Staffbase’s HR integrations offer connectivity with multiple HR systems. You can establish a connection between Staffbase and the HR Integration.
You can control what is displayed in the Absence widget and how to customize policy names and icons to better match your organization’s needs.
Control what is displayed in the Absence widget
You can choose which information is visible in the Absence widget based on your requirements.
You can display:
- Absence balance
- Absence list
- Both balance and list
- In the Studio, navigate to the page with the widget.
- Hover over the widget. The gear wheel displays.
- Click the gear wheel to open the widget settings.
- Under Advanced, select the option according to your requirement:
- Show User Absence Balance

Customize the policy name and icons in the Absence widget
Customize how absence policies are displayed by modifying their names and icons.
- In the Studio, navigate to the page with the widget.
- Hover over the widget. The gear wheel displays.
- Click the gear wheel to open the widget settings.
- Go to the Policy Type Settings section.
- Here, you can update the icon, mapped value, and mapped description by:
- Clicking the edit icon on the existing mapping or
- Add new mapping
- The original value (the name currently displayed on the App & Intranet).
- The mapped value you want to use as a replacement.
- The most appropriate icon that correctly reflects the policy type.
Customizing these settings helps ensure that policy names are clear and aligned with your organization’s terminology, and that icons accurately reflect each absence type.
Best Practices
- Use clear and familiar naming conventions for mapped values to improve user understanding.
- Select icons that are intuitive and easily recognizable.
- Review configurations after changes to ensure the widget displays as expected for end users.
