Uploading your own video subtitles is recommended for important or high-visibility videos, such as CEO messages, where accuracy and timing are critical. If you already have professionally prepared subtitles in VTT (WebVTT) format, you can upload them to replace the AI-generated subtitles.

You can upload one VTT file per language in the Subtitle editor. When you upload a VTT file, it replaces the existing subtitles for that language.

1. In the Studio, navigate to Files > the video you want to upload the VTT to.
2. Click the three dots to display the more options menu.
3. Choose Subtitles from the options. 
   The Subtitle Editor opens.
4. Click the three dots to open the more options.
5. Click Import Subtitle.
6. Choose the VTT file from your device and click Open.
7. Click Save. 
   The Generating Subtitles message displays.

You have uploaded a VTT file and it replaces the existing subtitles for that language.
