Staffbase Email helps you create beautiful employee emails, distribute them to your own customized employee lists, and measure engagement so you can improve your internal communications strategy and make a measurable impact.
With a Power/Business or Enterprise plan, sending emails directly from the Staffbase Email web app enables you to:
- Create, edit and share custom distribution lists without help from IT
- Send targeted emails to lists based on any employee attributes that you store, such as department, location, job role, and more
- Follow up with only recipients who didn’t open an email
- Capture detailed engagement data with unique recipient tracking
- Break down email engagement metrics by employee attributes
Configuring the Web App for Your Organization
With some assistance from your IT team, follow the steps below to enable the web app sending workflow.
Staffbase recommends using an Admin or Parent Admin account to set up this configuration.

Verify and connect your organization's email domain
Your IT team will be required to assist in the initial domain verification process, which authorizes Staffbase Email to send on behalf of your domain using our systems. -
Upload or sync your contacts
You can take a few different approaches to manage your list of recipients depending on your preferences and how your organization's employee data is tracked.

First Steps After Configuration
Once your domain and contacts are set up, anyone in your organization with a Staffbase Email user account can try out the web app sending workflow by following the first steps outlined below.

Send email from the web app
By default, this feature is not available for Base User accounts.
With an Enterprise plan, Parent Admins can enable it for them.
Optionally, register for Staffbase Academy and take one or more online courses on using Staffbase Email, which walk you through these steps and provide tips on best practices. You must be signed in to view the courses.
