Note on product naming: Bananatag became Staffbase Email in January 2022.
Some key aspects of Staffbase Email temporarily retain the Bananatag name, such as the Bananatag Outlook add-in, app.bananatag.com, etc.
For all intents and purposes, Bananatag and Staffbase Email are synonymous.

It is sometimes necessary to copy content over from an email or Word document into your newsletter design. In certain circumstances, this could cause formatting and style issues. To remedy this, our Email Designer would strip out any formatting and only plain text could be pasted in.
With recent updates, we have enhanced the copy/paste functionality so that certain elements can be copied over without causing formatting issues in the email. However, there are limitations depending on the source of the text, and the type of formatting involved. These limitations are outlined in the tables below.
How to copy and paste text into the Email Designer
To paste into Bananatag, you can either right-click the text element and click 'Paste', or use a keyboard shortcut (CTRL + V (Windows) or CMD + V (Mac)).
If you'd prefer to copy without the source formatting you can do this by:
- Windows: Right-clicking and choosing 'Paste as plain text' or using CTRL + SHIFT + V
- Mac: Right-clicking and choosing 'Paste and match style' or using CMD + SHIFT + V
What formatting is supported by the Email Designer when pasting text?
