Known Issue, First Reported June 2019
On Android devices, the app might encounter problems on reopening after you've closed it completely.
We identified that a standard technology for Android apps, in this case Chrome WebView for Android, is no longer working as expected. Chrome WebView for Android was updated, which is now causing this problem when reopening the app.
Fixed with version 4.0 of the App
We have released a new version of the app with our Release 4.0 on July 30, which will completely address this issue. Allow for automatic updates of your app or check for the latest update in the app store. Reach out to your app administrator to learn more about this app version.
Workaround
If the new app version is not available at your company yet, you can restart the app after clearing the data in the app’s storage.
You’ll be logged out of the app, but other than that there is no effect on the app itself or the data that you previously uploaded in the app. All your data will still be available upon login.
- In the Settings of your device, navigate to Apps.
- Navigate to the app for which you want to clear the data and open the App info.
- Tap on Storage.
- Tap on Clear data.
The stored data is cleared.
- Close the Settings.
- Open the app.
You are logged out and have to log in again.
Once you close your app again, the same problem can occur. You can perform this workaround every time your app does not start properly.
