The Org Chart widget can be configured on a page or in the user profile. The Org Chart widget supports different use cases on both a page and in the user profile.
On a page, you can display a part of the org chart. For example, on the sales department page of your employee app or intranet, you can configure the user identifier of the Sales Head and display all the employees reporting to the Sales Head. This way, you can show the structure of your sales department and how each employee in sales is placed within this structure.
In a user’s profile, you can configure the org chart to display how the particular user is placed in the organizational structure. This way, you can see who this person is reporting to, subordinates if any, and co-workers on the same level from the same team.
Unlike other widgets, you need to configure the Org Chart widget in the end-user view of the Staffbase platform and not in the Studio. The Administrator or Editor configures it one-time in their end-user view to make it available to users.
Prerequisites:
- You have received the web service URL of the organizational chart report from your Workday administrator.
- You have defined the identifier for users for whom you want to make the widget available.
- You have already set up a Workday account that has the required permissions for viewing all the data displayed in the organizational chart report.
Your Workday Administrator can help you set up this account.
