Using visibility settings, you define to whom the Chat plugin is visible. In the visibility settings, configure whether the Chat plugin is available to the whole company or only to specific user groups or specific users.
For latest Chat functionalities, users must have app version 4.2.502 or higher. Users on older versions of the app will still see users who no longer have access to chat in the chat participant list.
- In the Experience Studio, navigate to Chat.
- Click on the gear wheel to open the settings.
The settings page opens.
- Under Visibility in the app, select For selected users, groups or API tokens from the dropdown menu.
A new field opens.
- Select the user groups or specific users you want to make the Chat plugin visible to from the dropdown menu.
If you want to create a chat conversation based on user groups, make sure you’ve added the group to the visibility settings here.
- Click Save.
Chat is immediately available to the selected user groups or users.
