Adding a custom channel to External Content allows you to manage your external communications from within the Staffbase Studio. Custom channels can represent any platform your organization uses, such as a blog or social media platform. You can only create and plan custom channel posts in Staffbase, you need to publish them manually.
Adding a Custom Channel to External Content
To create and schedule posts for custom channels, you need to create a custom channel and add an account to it.

In the Studio, navigate to External Content > Channels.
- Click Create Channel.
The Create Custom Channel dialog opens.
- Enter a channel name.
- Optionally, add an image.
- Click Create.
You have created a custom channel. Before you can create posts for the custom channel, you need to add an account to it.
Adding an Account to a Custom Channel
You can add an account to your newly created channel to specify where the posts need to be published.

In the Studio, navigate to External Content > Accounts.

Click Add Account.
The Add Account dialog opens. -
From the Channel dropdown, select a channel.
The dialog expands.
- Enter an account name.
- Click Add Account.
You have added an account to a custom channel. Now, you can create posts for the account.
