If you are new to the CSV import, Staffbase recommends to run a test with only a few users before doing your first complete import. Furthermore, check if invitation emails are delivered correctly and do not get blocked by spam filters.
If you are regularly using the CSV import to synchronize the user data, make sure you always use the complete CSV file with all users for CSV synchronization. Users that are not mentioned in the CSV file will be deactivated.
- In the Studio, navigate to platform Users.
- Under the section Bulk actions, click User import and sync. User import and sync.
- Click Start New import.
- Choose the CSV file.
- If required, adjust the text encoding or the separator.
- Click Continue.
- Match your data using the dropdown menus.
- Click Continue.
The import preview is displayed. You see the changes that your import will do to the user data in the system.
In case there are hints or warnings, make sure you read them.
If you need to change anything you can always go back to the previous steps. - If you want to send the invitation emails to the new users that have an email address straight away, make sure the checkbox is activated. You can also send the invitations later.
- Click Perform import and confirm that you really want to import the CSV file.
All new users will show up at in the section Your users and groups under Pending users:
- Users with email address for show up in Email invites
- Users without email address show up in Access codes
Download a list or print the access codes using the built-in function.
